Definition:

  • Participants were instructed to fixate the fixation cross at the beginning of each trial. After the cross was extinguished, participants were presented with a letter that appeared in the center of the computer screen. The 0-back task required participants to monitor the series of letters and indicate (yes or no) whether the letter matched one of two target letters that were specified by the experimenter before the task began.
